Our first two limited-edition hoodies are made from 100% cotton because we appreciate its natural softness, breathability, and comfortable feel against the skin.
For our third drop, we introduced a carefully balanced cotton and polyester blend. Some people enjoy a fabric that keeps its shape with fewer wrinkles while offering a slightly smoother appearance. Rather than following trends, each material has been selected because it offers a different wearing experience while maintaining the quality people expect from AKA’IKI.
The inside of every hoodie has received just as much attention. We deliberately avoid synthetic fleece linings because they can feel overly warm and uncomfortable against the skin. Instead, our hoodies feature either matching cotton layers or French terry fabric, creating a softer and more breathable finish that remains comfortable throughout the day.

AKA’IKI co-founders, Monica and Kai, both have long arms and spent many years in Asia, where sleeves of the right length were often surprisingly hard to find. That personal experience influenced the design of every AKA’IKI hoodie. The sleeves are intentionally designed to provide comfortable coverage, while the cuffs are designed with elasticity that feels balanced, allowing you to wear them naturally or push them up when needed without discomfort.
The hood itself was designed with equal care. A hood should sit comfortably without feeling heavy or pulling backwards, making it easy to wear whether you are travelling, exploring a new city, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon.

Daily life inspired many of the practical features found throughout our premium hoodies. We were particularly passionate about creating internal storage that solves everyday frustrations.
Traditional kangaroo pockets are convenient, but anyone who has travelled through an airport or spent time with children knows how easily a mobile phone can slip out when sitting down or bending over. That experience led to the inclusion of a dedicated internal mobile phone pocket inside every AKA’IKI hoodie.
The positive feedback from customers encouraged us to take the idea even further by adding a second internal pocket designed for wireless earbuds to our Drops #02 and #03, helping keep everyday essentials secure and easy to reach.

Attached using premium YKK snap buttons from Japan, the badge can easily be exchanged between two included colour options.
